About Us

The directors of Thoughtified are closely connected to academia, and in particular are working on two domains: participatory sensing and large dataset extraction and processing. The aim of Thoughtified is to turn thought into action and use innovation to help industries to make an impact while saving time and money.
Our products so far include asset management systems with real-time location information, large Web-harvested/crowdsourced data processing with KPI delivery on Web and mobile applications, as well as ubiquitous computing (sensoring) platforms.

Thoughtified was founded by Georgios Michalakidis and Aaron Mason in 2009. It is an award winning company that initially began developing location-aware technologies to help people working in the conservation and health sectors.

Thoughtified apply innovations to solve challenges in industry and is passionate about delivering high quality solutions. Design, research and development quality is ensured internally and externally for all our projects, so that we build effective tools that are effective and usable.

Thoughtified uses agile development methodologies (delivering to the clients from very early stages and then re-iterating), to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and with success. We have used agile’s most successful representative Web framework, Ruby on Rails (the system behind successful companies like Twitter and Groupon) for years. More than a year ago, we gathered a team of mobile designers and developers, extended our agile approach to scrum for mobile applications and have secured "Thoughtified Apps" collaborations with the University of Surrey, the NHS, Natural England (and the Wildlife Trusts) and various clients, again with the same participatory sensing and dataset visualisation IP at the core of our operations.

Thoughtified uses the practical application of advanced technology to solve commercial problems. We have a pragmatic approach to the development of solutions, thus allowing us to constantly keep an eye on real-world goals and the bottom line.
